Glass by Glass is a water tracker you share with one partner. This page explains what the app stores, where, and why. The short version: we keep only what pairing needs, we never sell data, and we never read your health data.

What you share with your partner

Your first name, glass size, daily goal, the cup you picked, your time zone, the days you reached your goal, and each glass you log (when and how much). These are stored in the app's Apple iCloud (CloudKit) database so your partner can see them and get notified. Anyone who has your pairing code can see this information, so only share it with the person you're pairing with.

What stays on your phone

Your reminders, drops, cups, streak freezes and settings are kept on your device. If you turn on Apple Health, each glass is written to Health as water. We only write; we never read your Health data, and nothing from Health leaves your device through us.

Anonymous usage numbers

To improve the app we record anonymous events such as "finished onboarding", "logged a glass" or "opened the app", tied to a random ID created on your phone. They contain no name, no pairing code and nothing you type. They are stored in the same iCloud database and used only to understand how the app is used.

Purchases

Subscriptions and cup purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Unpairing removes the link between you and your partner. To delete everything, delete the app and email us from the address below; we will remove your iCloud records within 30 days.

Children

Glass by Glass is not directed at children under 13.
